FarmAi brings battery-powered wireless sensors, relay controllers and an on-site gateway together in one system. Automation runs on site: if the internet goes down, your rules, schedules and alarms keep working. The cloud is an extra layer for remote access.

How does it work?

Measurements start on site and decisions are made on site. The cloud is only for looking in and controlling remotely.

  1. 1. Sensors measure

    Battery-powered sensors measure temperature, humidity, light and wind and send the values to the gateway over encrypted radio.

  2. 2. The gateway decides

    The on-site gateway stores the data, runs your rules and sends commands to the relay controllers.

  3. 3. Local panel

    Open the gateway's own web panel from a phone or computer on the same network; no internet needed.

  4. 4. Remote via the cloud

    When internet is available the gateway connects to the cloud by itself; no router settings or open ports. Use the same interface from anywhere.

Features

Greenhouse climate on one page

For every greenhouse: inside and outside temperature, humidity, the inside–outside difference, calculated vapour pressure deficit (VPD) and the daily light integral (DLI) estimated from light. Zone cards and temperature–humidity charts.

Rules and schedules

Threshold rules (with hysteresis and minimum on / off times), weekly time schedules, dew point and feels-like temperature inputs. Rules can be watched in a dry-run mode first.

Frost and chilling protection

Staged frost warnings from outside temperature and humidity, using critical values from the plant table; can drive an output such as sprinklers automatically. Chilling (degree-hour) tracking.

Alarms

Info, warning and critical severities; acknowledgement and history. If sensor data stops arriving or an output command cannot be applied, the system raises an alarm for that too.

Local first, works offline

Rules, schedules and alarms run on the gateway. Losing the internet removes no local function; buffered data is sent when the cloud link returns.

Encrypted radio

Low-rate radio in the 868 MHz sub-GHz band, tuned for long range. Every device has its own key, every packet is encrypted and authenticated, and replayed old packets are rejected.

Expandable relays

12 relays with Rf2Relays; more with the wired RelayExpander. Group relays into cards and use interlock groups to keep outputs that must not run together apart.

Safe manual override

A relay switched by hand is kept out of the rules for a set time. Role-based access: admin, operator, viewer. Every command and change is written to an audit log.

Use cases

Greenhouses

Drive fans, heaters, coolers, foggers, lighting, pumps, valves, sprinklers and fertigation from the inside and outside climate; watch several greenhouses in tabs.

Mushroom growing rooms

For rooms where humidity, temperature and ventilation are closely controlled: installations with the gateway's own relays and serial ports, even without a separate relay board.

Open fields and farms

Monitor wind, light and the outdoor climate at remote spots with battery and solar powered sensors; get ready for frost risk ahead of time.
